The Smart Widget is context-aware — it can interact with the host page your visitor is currently browsing to provide a more relevant, guided experience.
- Read content — Understands the page the visitor is on and tailors responses to match the current context.
- Navigate pages— Directs visitors to relevant pages on your site during the conversation (e.g., "Let me take you to our pricing page").
- Highlight sections— Draws attention to specific parts of the page to guide the visitor's focus.
Host page interaction requires your website to be scanned first. Use the website crawling feature in the Knowledge Base to scan your site and build the site map before enabling Smart Widget features.
When you crawl your website, Veloquence automatically discovers and catalogs all accessible pages, building a structured site map. Each entry includes the page path, title, and a brief summary of its content. The Smart Widget uses this site map to navigate visitors to relevant pages and highlight sections during conversations.
