Knowledge Base

The knowledge base is your agent's brain. Upload documents, media, and website content — your agent uses this to answer questions accurately with source citations.

Audio files are automatically transcribed for indexing. Video files are analyzed to extract visual context alongside any audio transcription.

Website Crawling

Veloquence can crawl and index your entire website, including pages with JavaScript and dynamic content. Simply provide your site URL and Veloquence will discover and process pages automatically, adding the content to your agent's knowledge base.

Crawled pages are also used to build your agent's site map, which powers the Smart Widget's ability to navigate visitors to relevant pages during conversations.

Integration Imports

Notion

Import pages and databases directly from your Notion workspace.

Google Docs

Connect your Google Drive to import documents and slides.

Google Drive

Connect your Google Drive to sync entire folders. Select which folders to sync from the Knowledge Base settings — Veloquence monitors connected folders and flags updated content for review automatically.

How RAG Works

  1. Upload

Files, URLs, or integration content are uploaded to your agent's knowledge base.

  2. Process

Veloquence reads your documents, transcribes audio, and analyzes video to understand the content.

  3. Index

Veloquence maintains a single knowledge base library at the workspace level. Every asset you upload, crawl, or import lives in this shared library. When configuring each agent, you choose which assets from the library that agent can access — so while the content source is shared, each agent's knowledge is scoped to exactly what you assign it.

  4. Retrieve

During conversations, the agent searches its knowledge base to find the most relevant information and uses it to give accurate, grounded responses.

The Foundation tab in your Knowledge Base gives you a tenancy-level view of all public-facing Library assets — what any visitor can see regardless of which agent they are speaking with. Each agent also has its own Knowledge Summary, showing what that specific agent knows based on the assets assigned to it.
